Seal out drafts, moisture, dust, and insects with the M-D Building Products Heavy Duty Premium Low Boy threshold. The heavy extruded aluminum body has a built-in vinyl insert that creates a weather-tight barrier under exterior doors, and vinyl caulk feet on the underside seal the threshold to the floor for a tight, draft-free fit. The low 3/4" profile lets carpet, rugs, and area mats lay flat on either side of the door.

Install Tip: Cut to length with a hacksaw if needed. Predrill the aluminum, then fasten through the threshold into the subfloor with wood screws (not included). Bed the threshold in a continuous bead of exterior-grade caulk for the best weather seal.

Replacement Insert: The vinyl insert wears out before the aluminum does. Slide a new insert into the channel from one end without removing the threshold - 32" through 36" units take M-D vinyl seal #43824; the 72" unit takes M-D vinyl seal #43826.
