Install Tip: Slip the clamp over the hose before pushing the hose onto the fitting. Center the band over the barb, then tighten the 5/16" hex head with a nut driver or flat screwdriver until snug - the spring liner takes care of the rest. Do not over-torque; the constant-tension mechanism keeps load steady as the hose swells and contracts.

Sizing: The size number is the clamping range, not the hose ID. Measure the actual outside diameter of the hose as installed on the fitting (with the fluid in it if possible) and pick the size whose range covers that measurement. If the hose OD falls near a boundary, drop down to the smaller-range size for a firmer initial grip.
