A frost-free sillcock replaces an ordinary outdoor hose bibb anywhere the weather freezes. The valve body runs back through the wall so the seat closes inside the heated space, and the exposed tube drains itself once the valve is shut and the hose is off. With no water standing in the body there is nothing left to freeze and split it. This ProLine model is chrome-plated brass throughout, with a notched mounting flange and an angled wedge that sets the slight downward pitch the valve needs in order to drain.
