Basic replacement glow starter for preheat fluorescent fixtures. The starter closes momentarily to heat the lamp cathodes, then opens so the lamp can strike. Starter type has to match the lamp wattage - an FS-2 will not correctly start a 30 or 40 watt lamp, so check the wattage stamped on the lamp before ordering.
