Genuine Woodford replacement rod stem for IOWA series freezeless yard hydrants. The rod stem rides inside the head casting and translates lever motion into plunger movement at the bottom of the bury pipe, opening and closing the valve seat.

• 3/8" brass stem, approximately 5-3/4" overall length
• Replaces a galled, bent, or worn rod stem to restore positive lever action and clean shut-off
• Pairs with packing nut (10100), packing (10101), and Y34 or Y1 plunger

Use Tip: If the hydrant feels loose at the lever or won't fully close, inspect the rod stem for thread damage or bowing. Replace the stem packing (10101) and packing nut (10100) at the same time to ensure a clean seal around the new stem.

Service Note: All Woodford IOWA repairs are performed from the top of the hydrant -- no excavation required. Shut off the water supply at the main before disassembling the head.
