BOILED LINSEED OIL - QUARTPure boiled linseed oil for finishing and protecting bare wood, conditioning unfinished tool handles, sealing concrete, and rejuvenating dried-out oil finishes. Boiled linseed oil is processed with metallic drying agents that shorten cure time to 12-24 hours per coat versus several days for raw linseed oil.
- Penetrates and protects bare wood - bringing out grain depth and color
- Conditions unfinished hardwood tool handles (axes, hammers, shovels) against weather and splintering
- Acts as an extender and fortifier when added to oil-based paints and stains
- Seals raw concrete and dampens dusting
- Rejuvenates dried-out oil-based finishes on furniture and antiques
- Dries in 12-24 hours under typical indoor conditions; full cure 30 days
- Apply with a clean rag or natural-bristle brush in thin even coats
- Container: 1 Quart (32 oz)
Tip: Wipe on thin coats and remove all excess after 15-20 minutes - linseed oil that pools or puddles will stay tacky and never fully cure. Apply 2-3 thin coats with 24 hours between, sanding lightly with 400-grit between coats for a smooth feel. Safety: Oil-soaked rags self-heat as they cure and can spontaneously combust - never leave used rags balled up. Spread them flat outdoors to dry, or submerge in water in a sealed metal container, before disposal.
