2-HANDLE HI-RISE KITCHEN FAUCET W/SPRAY

On January 1, 2010, California’s Assembly Bill 1953 (AB 1953) went into effect, mandating that the weighted average lead content in pipes, fittings and fixtures used to convey drinking water cannot exceed 0.25 percent on wetted surfaces. A similar law in Vermont also went into effect on the same date.

Although these laws are in just two states, they affect the rest of the country and faucet manufacturers have brought their product lines into compliance.

In some cases, they have changed their faucets’ construction to low-lead brass. In other cases, a non-metallic material like PEX is used, eliminating any contact the water has with metal once inside the faucet.

When properly designed and manufactured, a plastic faucet will perform as long and as well as its  traditional brass counterpart.  In fact, in some harsh water environments plastic faucets, pipes and fittings will outlast traditional brass and copper equivalents.  And it goes without saying that non-metallic faucets have no lead or other metals that can leach into drinking water.

  • Faucet can be used with or without spray by using shut-off cap included
