A 5:1 gear ratio offers rewinds that are 5 times faster, and a quick gear release keeps the crank from spinning while the line is being pulled out.

The reel includes a durable stainless steel hook and crank handle as well as a patented ChalkView case that allows you to see the amount of chalk remaining in the case. The included premium polymer string resists breakage and fraying.
